Future Perfect Illusion Wins The Hack & Riding Horse Foal, Sport Horse Foal & is Res.Champion Sporthorse at Suffolk County Show !

The first foal born this year by our stallion Future Illusion went to his first show today and was a complete star! He behaved impeccably throughout what turned out to be a long day, and was highly regarded by both judges he was presented to. With his dam Persephone Heights taking 3rd place in the Hack or Riding Horse Mare, Gelding or Stallion 4 Yrs & Over, Future Perfect Illusion (Paris) surpassed her achievement by winning the Foal section. They then went forward for the Sport Horse Broodmare Class where Persephone Heights went one better and was 2nd, but Paris repeated his feat in the previous class by winning the Sport Horse Foal. With a 2nd place mare and a foal forward for the Sport Horse Championship against yearlings, 2yr olds and 3yr olds, we felt our chances of taking any of the honours were minimal, but we absolutely stunned when the judge tipped his bowler to Paris as Res. Champion after Moggy Hennessy’s 2 yr old filly who took the Championship. As the judge himself commented to us it is almost unheard of for a foal to get placed in an all ages Championship, and we were absolutely thrilled that he felt so highly of Paris as to award him this rare accolade.
