ABOUT

Miss Skyport is a traditionally bred Irish Sport Horses possessing only throughbred and Irish horses in her pedigree. She is a full sister to Michael Ryan’s CCI5* eventer and Badminton campaigner Ballylynch Skyport (aka Fernhill Skyport).

Their sire is the thoroughbred Porter Rhodes has produced several CCI5* horses as well as Ballylynch Skyport, the best know of which is Pippa Funnell’s eventer Maja’s Hope who was 10th at Badminton 2023. he also sired 1.50m showjumper Newtown Jumping Jack.

Miss Skyport’s dam Kiltealy Bess is a FULL sister to CCI3* eventer Kiltealy King (aka Sky Sport), and a maternal sister to CCI4* eventer Kiltealy Toss Up and CCI2* eventer Kiltealy King. Kiltealy Bess is by the highly influential throughbred Sky Boy, known for producing both jumpers and eventers including Stephanie Thomson’s Badminton CCI5* eventer Hilton Star, and he is the dam-sire of Tim Price’s Burghley CCI5* Winner Ringwood Sky Boy. Sky Boy was also the dam-sire of the influential Irish Sport Horse sire Carrick Diamond Lad who in turn has sired both 1.60m jumpers and CCI5* eventers.

Miss Skyport’s second dam Kiltealy Lass is a maternal sister to 1.40m jumper For Fun. Kiltealy Lass is by Kings Servant, again a sire of both International eventers and 1.60m showjumpers.
