Windfall

Windfall is an approved premium trakehner stallion by Habicht out of Wundermädel xx by Madruzzo xx. Windfall won the National Championships of Young event horses with Ingrid Klimke in 1998, was Germany's horse of the year in 1999, Trakehner horse of the year in 1998, member of the long list for the 2000 Sydney Olymics (only 8 years old!), winner of every CIC** and CIC*** held in Germany in 1998. He was sold to Timothy Holekamp of Missouri in 2000 and continued on with his new rider, USET member Darren Chiacchia. He won CIC**, placed at CIC***, won the selection trial for the US Burghley Team in 2001, returned with a 3rd place from the Advanced American National Championships in eventing in 2002 and in the fall of that year finished the important Fair Hill CCI*** in 5th place. Windfall placed 2nd at the Fox Hall Cup in 2003 and went on to take the individual Gold medal at the 2003 Panamerican Games. He was then selected for the US team for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece where he won Team Bronze. Additionally, during his time in Europe, this magnificent horse was placed and won at advanced level open jumpers and dressage. Windfalls oldest progeny in Europe placed and won at CIC** level in 2003.
