Future Illusion is Reserve Champion Part-Bred Trakehner at the Trakehner Breeders Fraternity Annual Show!
Hot on the heels of his success at the BEF Grading Show, Future Illusion was awarded Reserve Champion Part-Bred Trakehner at Addington Manor EC. He found the format (being shown loose, in an indoor arena) extremely good fun once he got his curiosity under control and would have been happy to show himself off to his audience all day!! Future Illicit Affair wins the Open Sporthorse Broodmare class at the National Hunter Show!
Future Illicit Affair flew the flag for Future Sport Horses at this year's National Hunter Show by winning a hotly contested Open Sporthorse Broodmare class. With 18 top class mares forward for we were delighted when the steward finally tipped his bowler toward Future Illicit Affair, giving her the win and The Millyn Cup. She also came very close to doing the double by having the winning Lightweight Hunter Foal in 2004 and 2005, but Future Indulgence was pipped at the post by another lovely hunter foal and finished 2nd out of 18 wonderful foals. He was also the highest scoring foal for conformation in the sporthorse class, gaining an amazing 19 out of 20!

Future Eclipse puts in a sparkling performance to win at Cleobury Mortimer!
Future Eclipse took a section at Cleobury Mortimer in convincing style, leading from beginning to end. She was the only horse to have a dressage score in the 20's, which she followed up with a clear showjumpiing round. With the xc providing it's share of problems, Future Eclipse stormed round all the direct routes recording the fastest round of the day! We're delighted with another copybook double clear from her - well done Helen! St Hypolyt provided a lovely rug and vouchers as part of the first prize - photos to follow!

Several days early Future Illicit Affair has produced a dark bay colt 'Future Indulgence' a full brother to 'Future Illusion', both by the European Junior Eventing Gold Medallist and Grand Prix dressage stallion Fleetwater Opposition. Winsome Adante has a new baby sister!
Juswith Genoa produced a beautiful bay filly at 7.45pm on Friday 13th May (lucky for some!), and 3 weeks early! Luckily thanks to the FoalWatch Foaling Test Kits we were ready. After much deliberation we have named her 'Future Gem' as we feel that with her looks and her breeding she is exactly that - a gem. We can't wait to see how she matures, but initial indications are that she's an extremely exciting competition and breeding propect, and we have decided to retain her.

We're waiting to see whether she will remain bay, or will turn grey like her father...

DAN DOES IT AGAIN!!! - Historic Third Win of the Rolex CCI**** !
Winsome Adante stamped his authority on an event that he's made his own over the last 4 years - leading from beginning to end, the only horse to finish on his dressage score (of 38.2), and winning by an unprecedented 17 points. No other horse in history has ever won the Rolex three times, and so Dan's win is a landmark victory. We can't wait to hear about the whole event from the Gooch's when they return! We're looking forward excitedly to the foal due to his mum in the next few weeks - another sibling for Dan and his yearling sister Polly.

First photos added!

Photos and the full story from the Gooch's to follow soon !

28th Apr 2005 The Gooch's Visit Winsome Adante !
We received a very excited phone call from our good friend Janet Gooch who bred Juswith Genoa's son Winsome Adante, to say his owner Linda Wachtmeister had called them from America to invite her and her husband Chris over to see Dan at this year's Rolex CCI****. We're keeping our fingers crossed firmly at home that all goes well at the Rolex, and are looking forward to getting the blow by blow account of Janet & Chris's time in America.
