Condios' Results

1995 Condios was graded a Premium Foal by the Holsteiner Verband. 1998 Condios was Reserve Champion of the German Performance Test (score 129.9), finishing 3rd in jumping (score 123.73) and 1st in dressage (score 133.65). He was awarded above-average scores in every category including a perfect 10 for Character, 9 for Temperament, and 9 for Constitution. Condios was approved as a sire at the stallion inspections in Vechta by the Oldenburg Verband. 1999 Condios was approved as a sire by the Danish Warmblood Society at the Danish National Stallion Show in Herning. As a 4-year-old, Condios was Reserve Champion of the Danish Breeders Cup showjumping competition. He earlier won the Breeders Cup Qualifier. Condios also competed well in the Finals of the dressage competition for 4-year-olds. In the young stallion competitions held in Holland in 1999, Condios performed in spectacular fashion. Condios won the 1.10 metre KWPN-sponsored international stallion class in Geisbeek, Holland, outjumping two dozen approved stallions from throughout Europe. He finished third and fifth in two other international classes, jumping double clear rounds every time. Across the three classes he was the highest ranked stallion. 2000 Condios was approved as a sire by the Anglo European Studbook (AES) after an inspection in Holland. He is perhaps the youngest sire ever to be fully approved by the AES. March: Condios placed third in the 1.20 metre class ("LA" class, with a jump-off against the clock) in the Danish National Stallion Show. Condios placed above every other five-year-old and six-year-old stallion, and placed above the international showjumping stallion Royal Z II. Spring and Summer: Condios arrived in Ireland at the end of March 2000. His achievements under top Irish rider Tom Slattery include: -- 1st place in the Harp Classic Qualification; -- 1st place in the Dublin Kerrygold Show Qualification; -- 3rd place in the Statoil Qualification; -- 1st place in the Punchestown Spring Show (130 entries); -- 1st place in the 1st Qualifying Class for Five-Year-Olds of the FEI World Breeding Showjumping Championships for Young Horses at Lanaken, Belgium. October: Condios is inspected by the Irish Horse Board and is approved as a sire. 2001 In 2001 Condios jumped on the continent with Henrik Gundersen. His achievements include: March: Condios put on an amazing performance at the Danish National Stallion Show: a total of 8 clear rounds in the "Clear Round", 1.20, 1.30, 1.40 m., and "Masters" classes and 4th place in his first 1.40 m. class, where, before a crowd of 30,000 people, he out-jumped international Grand Prix horses twice his age. April: Condios became the first horse in all of Europe to qualify for the 2001 German National Showjumping Championship by finishing in 1st place in the qualifier at Passen, Germany. He received a score of 8.5 out of 10. May: Bo Kristoffersen, the new Danish National Trainer and the former top rider for Holsteiner Verband, selected Condios as the first horse chosen for a training programme to prepare the best young talent for the 2004 Olympics. June: Condios is featured in the recently published book "Selected Sires of Germany 2002 - 2003". The book states that "His first crop of foals was born in 2000 and surpassed the highest expectations." September: At the 2001 German National Showjumping Championship in Warendorf, Condios placed 4th in one qualifier and 3rd in the "Small Final." These results qualified him for the Championship Final where he jumped a clear round and scored 8.3, slightly below what was needed to be one of the eight horses selected for the jump-off against the clock. Nevertheless, Condios was placed 15th in the Final Class and was picked by the German Federation as one of sixteen 6-year-old horses to represent Germany at the 2001 FEI World Breeding Championships at Lanaken, Belgium. (Because of bad weather and ground conditions in Belgium, we decided not to send Condios to Lanaken.) Condios is the first Irish-owned horse to make it to the Final and to jump clear in the Final of the German National Championship. October: Condios placed second in a 1.30 metre class in Denmark. November: On 2 November in Denmark, Condios placed 4th in a big 1.40 metre class. In a 1.30 metre class, Condios was one of over 80 horses jumping in a class with two jump-offs. Condios jumped clear in the first round and clear in the first jump-off. He was one of about 20 horses to make it to the second jump-off, which was very fast. Condios once again jumped clear and with a quick time was placed 3rd in the 1.30 metre. And at the end of November at the Thisted International Show, Condios jumped double-clear in a 1.30 metre class and then went on to place 2nd in another 1.30 metre class and 2nd in a 1.40 metre class. 2002 Condios' achievements include: January: Condios placed 3rd in the 1.30 metre class at the Fredericia (Denmark) Show. Immediately after this performance, Condios's rider, Henrik Gundersen, was issued an invitation by the Danish Federation for the pair to compete at the CSI-B Vilhelmsborg International Show in Aarhus in February. February: At the CSI-B Vilhelmsborg International Show in Aarhus, Denmark, Condios placed 14th (out of 27 placings in a field of 105 starters) in a 1.40 metre class. In another 1.40 metre class, Condios placed 13th (out of 21 placings in a field of 80 starters). In the Mini Grand Prix, Condios had one fence down. On February 23 Condios jumped double-clear in a 1.30 m. class as a tune-up for the Danish National Stallion Show in Herning on March 14-17. March: On March 9th in a tune-up for the Danish National Stallion Show, Condios jumped double-clear and placed 4th in a 1.30 metre class in Denmark. On March 14 - 17, before 30,000 spectators at the Danish National Stallion Show in Herning, Condios placed 2nd in the 1.50 metre class, 3rd in the Masters class, 3rd in the 1.40 metre class; and 4th in the 1.30 metre class. April: In Denmark on April 27 and 28, Condios won a 1.30 metre class and placed 2nd in a 1.40 metre class (0.3 seconds behind the winner). Condios achieves the status of "International Grade A" showjumper in Denmark and Ireland before his 7th birthday. May: At the "Meppen Maiturnier" International Show in Germany on 9 - 12 May, Condios placed 3rd in the first qualifier, 3rd in the second qualifier, and 1st in the Final. All three classes were 1.40 metre. On May 18 - 19 at the Wedel (Hamburg) Show, Condios placed 8th in a 1.40m class, jumped double-clear in a second 1.40m class, and, in a class with 90 contestants, placed 11th, and in the prize money, in his first Grand Prix. June: Condios is approved by the Holsteiner Horse Association of Australia and the New Zealand Warmblood Horse Breeders Association. On 8-9 June at the CSI-Altenhof (Germany), Condios placed 14th out of 88 starters and 4th out of 84 starters in 1.40 metre classes. Both placings earned prize money. On 22-23 June in Kolding, Denmark, Condios placed 5th in a 1.50 metre class and 1st in another 1.50 metre class. July: Condios is approved by the Australian Warmblood Horse Association. August: On 2 August, the Showjumping Association of Ireland (SJAI) reports that Condios has 305 points (201 points are required for Grade A status). On August 1 - 4 at the CSIO-Denmark, Condios placed in three international classes. He placed 9th (out of 56 starters) in a 1.40 m. class; 5th (out of 39 starters) in a second 1.40 m. class; and 8th (out of 47 starters) in a 1.45 m. class. All three placings earned prize money. Riders in these international classes came from Denmark, Holland, Sweden, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Great Britain, and Italy and included foreign riders such as Beat Mandli, Willi Melliger, Markus Fuchs, Di Lampard, and Peter Eriksson. From 5 August - 23 September Condios was in quarantine to freeze semen for export to Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Canada. September: On 23 September Condios left quarantine to compete at the World Breeding Championships in Lanaken. His time off in "solitary confinement" showed in the first qualifier where he was very excited to be out of quarantine and had three fences down. The next day, in the second qualifier, Condios jumped double-clear and was placed 15th out of 108 horses. In the Consolation Class on Friday Condios jumped clear in the first round but became tired in the second phase and finished 21st with two fences down. October: During the weekend of October 24 Condios competed in the Young Horse classes at the World Cup Denmark Show at Aarhus. He placed 9th (out of 49) in the opening 1.35 m. class and 7th (out of 48) in the 1.45 m. Final; both placings were in the prize money. Condios now returns to quarantine to freeze semen for the USA and Canada. November: Condios is "acknowledged" by the KWPN, joining the list of sires whose foals out of KWPN mares may be registered in the KWPN's Register A. Condios is also approved and activated by the Oldenburg Verband's North America Division, the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society. Condios is now approved by studbooks on three continents. Condios enters quarantine at the breeding station in Denmark to freeze semen for the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. 2003 February: Condios is approved by the American Holsteiner Horse Association. He is now approved by 9 studbooks in 7 countries on 3 continents. May: On the weekend of May 3-4 Condios jumped in his first competitions since the end of October 2002. (He was in quarantine for freezing semen from 1 November 2002 - 19 April 2003). On May 3 he jumped a 1.30 m. class in a small Danish show and placed 1st. On May 4 Henrik Gundersen took Condios to a large national show in Sweden where they placed 6th in the 1.30 m. class and 7th in the 1.40 m. class. According to Henrik, "He jumped only clear rounds and I was delighted about the power he jumped with after the long period without any jumping." On May 23-24 Condios competed in the Kolding Show as a further tune-up for the upcoming Danish Showjumping Championship. Condios competed in two classes: he placed 2nd in the 1.40 m. and 3rd in the 1.50 m. June: On the weekend of June 28 - 29 Condios placed 10th in the 1.50 m. class at the CSIO-Drammen (Norway) and then went on to place 3rd in his first international Grand Prix, the Volvo Penta Norway Grand Prix. August: On the weekend of 3 August, as a tune-up for the big Copenhagen show the next weekend, Condios jumped double-clear in a 1.30 m. class and won the 1.40 m. class. On the weekend of 9 August at the CSI-Copenhagen, Condios placed 6th and 5th in 1.40 m. classes and then won the international Grand Prix of Copenhagen. In 2003, as an 8-year-old, Condios competed in 1.40 m., 1.50 m., 1.60 m., Grand Prix, and Nations Cup classes throughout Europe.
