Winsome Adante is by the Premium TB stallion Saunter out of Juswith Genoa (by Bohemond). He was ranked Number 1 in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (Eventing) in 2002, 2002 and 2004 by points won.

He was bred by Chris & Janet Gooch in the UK, is owned by Linda Wachtmeister in the USA and competed by Kim Severson. He has an outstanding competition record including winning the Rolex Kentucky CCI**** an unprecedented THREE TIMES, Olympic Individual Silver Meallist, and Team Gold at the World Equestrian Games in 2002, as well as winning Blenheim CCI***. At the end of 2004 Kim Severson was awarded "USA Equestrian of the Year".
