Future Illusion is an athletic bay stallion with an exquisite head and no white markings at all. He has demonstrated his versatility by winning in the show ring as a foal, yearling, 2 year old & 4 year old across a wide variety of classes. He scored the highest mark for 'athleticism' at the 2005 British Equestrian Federation Futurity Show (out of all ages and all disciplines) with an amazing 9.1 out of 10.
"Future Illusion has excellent conformation, strong well set on limbs & good feet all leading to quality of movement. It has been proved that he passes all of this on to his progeny who will certainly make their mark in the show ring."
- HOYS Judge, Philip Hilton
|
His bloodlines are exceptional - he is by the ELITE stallion & Double European Junior Eventing Gold Medallist Fleetwater Opposition, out of the HEAD Stud Book, Champion Sporthorse and Champion Hunter broodmare Future Illicit Affair. Fleetwater Opposition's legacy lives on through his offspring - he sired the 1st AND 2nd place horses in the 2007 4 Year Old PAVO BE Breeding Championships which was an encore to siring the 5 & 6 Year Old Winners in 2003 and 2004! At the top levels Fleetwater Opposition has Summersong (Olympic, World and European eventer), Opposition Buzz (European Team Gold Medalist) and many, many Advanced eventers. With the addition of top class National Hunt breeding in his motherline, which descends from the legendary Spiritus, Future Illusion is already proving to be an exceptional sire of athletes. This mix of trakehner and TB blood is proving to be the pedigree of choice for the modern sport of eventing.
He is already demonstrating naturally balanced paces with a very active hind leg and free shoulder. His first affiliated dressage score was a staggering 76%. He is now competing and is loving the job of eventing. His naturally good paces are ensuring he is highly competitive after dressage, his enthusiasm for jumping is resulting in good showjumping rounds and he is proving naturally bold and careful cross country which he seems to absolutely relish.
"Future Illusion is a pleasure to work with. He has a very trainable brain, is incredibly rideable and is already showing real ability both on the flat and over fences. He's a natural cross country horse and I'm very much looking forward to competing him later on this year."
- Jeanette Brakewell

Double clear! He had the joint top dressage score and added only 1.6 time penalties xc to this, jumping a double clear. He'd have been 3rd if he weren't HC due to Jeanette's over qualification at this level, and would have been Jt 1st had Jan ridden for the time xc, but there wasn't much point as he was HC! |
