• then... he started in CSO at 9yrs. In 3 seasons, he managed to get to the level of World Cup Grand Prix CSO !

HAND IN GLOVE possesses a particularly interesting pedigree coming out of the top family line of Nearco, his father BEST TURN had also produced 20 winners in CSIW (MVP in USA) & CDI (Shinning Moment in USA).

BEST TURN, a tall and strong, dark brown thoroughbred, was stationed at Calumet Farm. He had been a very good race horse between 3 & 5yrs old, winning 15 times out of 28 flat races ($270 000). Father of 24 Stakes winners, his offspring won more than $10 million.

TURN TO the father of HAND IN GLOVE, was also the grandson of the foundation stallion NEARCO, who we often find in the pedigrees of sporthorse thoroughbreds like LUCKY BOY (Holland), COUNT IVOR & RUBLOFF (France).

MISS BETTY the dam of HAND IN GLOVE, was a winner at 2yrs old is the daughter of the famous American star Buckpasser (best US 2yr old, 3yr old Champion, and Horse of the Year at 4yrs old) a horse well known for being solid and keeping his cool. MISS BETTY has produced 4 classic winners (racing Gr. I & II) and 2 stallions, Red Attack and Tom Buck. She is the 3/4 sister to Settlement Day, father of the thoroughbred FRENCH BUFFET winner in CSI and Champion of Chile 1997 (now based in Holland).

His grand dam is a daughter of DOUBLE JAY, who is also the grandfather of the Olympic showjumper GEM TWIST (Best horse in the World Championships 1990).
